The 1980 Indian action thriller Qurbani was produced, directed, and starred Feroz Khan (under the banner of FK International). Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri, and Kader Khan also appear in the movie. The Master Touch, an Italian action crime film from 1972, served as the inspiration for this movie. Later, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Vishnuvardhan, and Madhavi appeared in the Tamil remake, Viduthalai.

Previously a motorbike stuntman for a circus, Rajesh is now a skilled bank robber. Police investigator Amjad Khan is keeping an eye on him during one of these robberies. Sheela is a stunning vocalist and dancer in disco clubs. Sheela and Rajesh love each other. Sheela has not been informed by Rajesh that he is a crook. Rajesh is detained for theft by Inspector Amjad Khan when an inspector notices him at a car accident. The judge gives Rajesh a two-year prison term. When Sheela learns Rajesh was a thief, she is distraught. In prison, Vikram and Rajesh meet. Vikram and Jwaala, an evil brother and sister, are out to get criminal leader Rakka because he defrauded Jwaala and took her money.

Amar, a skilled criminal who rebels against Rakka, is a member of Rakka's gang. His daughter Tina attends a residential school and he is a widower. Inspector Amjad Khan is looking into a crime that Amar committed while wearing a mask prior to leaving Rakka's group. Sheela is rescued by Amar from a group of unruly bikers. Sheela enjoys Amar's daughter Tina, so they get together frequently. Sheela does not return Amar's love because she still cares about Rajesh, but he soon falls in love with her. Amar and Sheela meet up shortly after that. Rajesh completes his time in prison. He runs across Vikram on the way back, who reminds him once more of the plan to rob Rakka.

Amar happens to arrive at the scene during the chat, and Amar and Vikram start fighting. Vikram swears vengeance on Amar as he runs away. Thus, Rajesh and Amar have their first encounter. In order to avoid making Rajesh needlessly suspect them, Sheela and Amar pretend they are strangers when Rajesh takes them to meet Sheela.

Later, Amar's daughter is abducted by Vikram's men, who also assault Amar, who is now in the hospital. Rajesh consents to carry out Vikram's duties in exchange for the security of Amar and his daughter. Amar is restored to health under his care, and soon they become close friends. Amar assures Rajesh that he will assist him in carrying off this final heist. After the theft with the money, they intend to relocate to London. They devise a plan in which Amar would rob a safe of gold bars and jewellery, call the police, let Rajesh take control, get caught, and serve a sentence of between 12 and 18 months in prison. He will join Amar in the UK after his term gets over

Things don't go as planned since Amar and Sheela arrive in London with the cash while Rajesh is detained for the murder of Rakka. Rajesh believes that Amar set out to frame him in order to get Rajesh out of the way and keep the entire sum of money for himself. Rajesh breaks out of prison and travels to London to find Amar. Rajesh understands the reality and that Amar did not accuse him after a brief altercation. To exact revenge on Rajesh and Amar, Vikram and his thugs travel to London. Amar gives his life in the movie's climactic scene to prevent Vikram from killing Rajesh, Sheela, and Tina.
