Abhishek Sharma will soon release the action-adventure movie Ram Setu in the Hindi language. Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra will produce it for Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Amazon Prime Video, and Lyca Productions. The movie, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Praveshh Rana, centres on an archaeologist who is studying the origins of Ram Setu, also known as Adam's Bridge in the English language.

The movie was announced in November 2020, and on March 30, 2021, principal photography started in Mumbai. The COVID-19 epidemic caused delays and obstacles in production. Filming around Ooty, Daman and Diu, and Mumbai began again in October 2021 and was completed in January 2022.

The movie will released on theatres on October 25th, 2022.

The protagonist is an archaeologist who has been hired to determine whether or not the bridge actually exists. Ram Setu is a bridge constructed by the deity Rama's army of Vanara to enter Lanka and rescue his wife Sita, who was kidnapped by Lanka's Rakshasa king Ravana, according to the epic Ramayana.

Myth, religion, reality, and belief: 'Ram Setu' takes all these components, shakes them up, lets them fall into place as they like, and then provides yet another Akshay Kumar movie that is firmly rooted in the present. Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha (Kumar) is an archeologist who reveres science that is supported by evidence. He has no patience for anyone, including his beloved wife (Nushrratt Bharuccha), a professor of literature who is allied with "vishwaas" or 'aastha.'

Critics described the movie as nothing more than a pedestrian one that was put together in a pedestrian way and is just concerned with driving home its point. It's also the kind of movie where a woman scientist emerges from a cave after being submerged in sea water, giving off a very Raiders Of The Lost Ark vibe. retaining her pink lipstick.
