Scoop is an upcoming Hindi-language web series directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil under the banner of  Matchbox Shots. Scoop is written by Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul and Mirat Trivedi and is scheduled to release in the year 2022. Scoop was announced at Netflix India’s Tudum event with various other movies and web series. Scoop is based on the book ‘Behind Bars In Byculla: My Days In Prison’ written by Jigna Vora. Scoop has a stellar star cast of Karishma Tanna, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Harman Baweja, Deven Bhojani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Tejasvini Kolhapure, Shikha Talsania, Tanmay Dhanania and Inayat Sood

Scoop revolves around the life of Jagruti Pathak, a visionary crime journalist whose world turns upside down when she is charged with the gruesome murder of journalist Jaideb Sen and is put behind the bars with the same criminals she once reported about. A reputed sharpshooter, a dishonest bookmaker, and the infamous Chhota Rajan are among the others accused. While she waits for a trial, the truth is subtly suppressed. Karishma Tanna plays the lead role in this fast-paced action thriller web series which is sure to get your adrenaline pumping!
