The Plot of the story revolves around The competition between the Sandhu's and the Randhawas is severe. Father and uncle of Balwinder "Billu" Singh Sandhu (Sanjay Dutt) and Jaswinder "Jassi" Singh Randhawa (Ajay Devgn) is killed during a major conflict between the two families. That occurred during Billu and Parmeet "Pammi" Kaur's wedding (Juhi Chawla). Billu thus swears. The promise is to wait to get married until he murders Jassi, Randhawa's kid. In the meantime, Jassi's mother leaves the town with Jassi and eventually settles in London. 

Jaswinder goes to his village 25 years later to sell a piece of property he owns. While there, he falls in love with a young woman and later learns that her family wants him killed.
