Sunburn and Rajma Romeo, two young boys who reside in the Kashmiri hills, are the subjects of the novel. Sunburn, so named by Sodhi due to his obsession with the music festival of the same name, has only ever dreamed of one thing in his life: going to the Goa-based Sunburn festival. However, without money or assistance, Goa appears like a distant fantasy. Rajma Romeo, his closest buddy, then comes up with the brilliant idea of setting up a phoney travel agency called 'Sunshine Music Tours & Travels'. Social media plays a key role in the rapid distribution of information about their business throughout India. The journey of a lifetime then begins, travelling from Kashmir through Delhi, Jaipur, Ahemdabad, and ultimately Goa. The guys are joined along the way by a variety of passengers who board the bus with the same goals.
