Ali Abbas Zafar directed and produced the Indian political thriller web series Tandav, which is available on Amazon Prime Video. Saif Ali Khan, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dimple Kapadia, Hiten Tejwani, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Dino Morea, Priyal Mahajan and Anup Soni are among the series' ensemble cast members. The show is about the murky underside of Indian politics, where all those seeking power will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Samar Pratap Singh, the populist figure of the Janata Lok Dal (JLD), a leading political party, believes he is prepared to take over as prime minister, but Samar's father, Devki Nandan Singh, the party's founder and current head, isn't quite ready to step over. Anuradha Kishore, Devki's close friend, and Gopal Das, a prominent party official, are just a few of the numerous politicians that believe they are qualified to occupy this position. But they have to work hard to get this chair; it never comes naturally.

A similar tale is that of the ideological university activist Shiva Shekhar, who shines at a political gathering and instantly becomes a household name. Shiva now desires to effect change, influence youth, and topple power structures since he is aware of the rich taste of power. Power corrupts him. Shiva and Samar will cross paths with one another as national politics meets youth politics. Tandav is the culmination of several manipulations that reveal multiple layers of human violence, avarice, love, and ambition.

Tandav gained widespread acclaim and recognition for showing the ugly truth of politics without whitewashing any particular section of the hierarchy. It was also one of the most watched shows on Amazon Prime Video, behind the likes of Mirzapur, Paatal Lok and Inside Edge.
