The Test Case is a 2017 Indian web series that was created by Endemol Shine India for the ALTBalaji and directed by Vinay Waikul and Nagesh Kukunoor. Along with Juhi Chawla making a cameo appearance, it has Nimrat Kaur, Akshay Oberoi, Atul Kulkarni, Rahul Dev, Manit Joura, and Anup Soni in the key parts. The main character of the web series is preparing to become the Indian Army's first test subject for a combat position. This web series' primary plot is based on the 1997 American movie G.I. Jane.

Protagonist In a group of Indian Army officers undergoing training to join the Special forces, Captain Shikha Sharma is the lone female officer. She is the first female student in the school, making her a "test case" for the Indian army's plan to hire women for combat-related positions. Despite being brilliant and very determined, the plot centres on her path of overcoming obstacles at home and biases by her coworkers.

Shikha must first overcome physical obstacles in order to complete a difficult obstacle course. She fights through them though and does so with tenacity. As a result, her coworkers become both her friends and her foes. She succeeds in moving up to the top half of the team scoreboard in addition to staying in the course. Shikha is given command of one of the two competing squads for the last training phase, which takes the shape of a simulated sortie into hard enemy territory lasting several days, in an effort to test her leadership abilities. The exercise is a complete failure, and the squad is cut off from the course professors for a considerable amount of time.

Shikha and Captain Bilal are seriously hurt and unconscious when the team finally returns. Shikha's injuries were not caused by warfare injuries, according to a medical examination. However, after being questioned again by the course commanding officer Colonel Ajinkya Sathe and the lead course instructor Naib Subedar Kirpal Bhatti, Shikha and the other members of her squad insist that nothing suspicious occurred and that the injuries were caused by an accident.

An anonymous note is submitted to the Army authorities in the meantime, saying that Shikha was subjected to sexual assault while participating in the exercise. A poker enthusiast Lieutenant Colonel Imtiaz Hussain is sent to investigate discreetly and fast. Major Hussain eventually succeeds in reconstructing the timeline of events and locating the offender using a variety of unusual strategies. Shikha, however, says she will not file a complaint since she prefers to handle this issue alone. She says to Hussain that she wants to provide a strong example that women are as capable of self-defence without assistance in addition to joining combat forces.

In the end, she succeeds in convincing Captain Manit Varma to admit while secretly recording his confession and defeating him in close quarters fight. The Army police ultimately apprehend him and take him away. Shikha successfully completes the training programme, bringing the story to a joyful conclusion.
