Thugs Of Hindostan

The plot follows a tale about two men, one who loves his country and the other who loves power. Indians are clutched in the threatening John Clive's grasp. The Nawab of Raunakpur, Mirza, is smuggling gunpowder and ammunition to support the just Azaad's movement (Amitabh Bachchan).

The sneaky Firangi (Aamir Khan) is hired by Captain James Powell, Clive's second-in-command, to procure them Azaad. Firangi finds himself in the company of Azaad, his rebels, and the stunning warrior Zafira as was predestined (Fatima Sana Shaikh). Azaad gives him his trust. He quickly understands that Firangi betrayed them. He still believes in Firangi as he draws his final breath, nevertheless. Zafira promises she will release them and exact revenge on Azaad.

John Stewart Eduri composed the movie's score, while Ajay Atul wrote the lyrics for the original songs that were included in the movie. The soundtrack was originally going to be composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, but once the movie was reshot and additional tracks were required, they were unable to finish their work before the revised deadline.

Both reviewers and viewers gave it mostly poor reviews, praising Bachchan and Khan's acting but criticising Acharya's directing screenplay, script, and the supporting cast's performances. The movie had the fourth largest opening weekend in India and the highest first-day and second-day box office totals for any Hindi film, although the second day saw a sharp decline in attendance.
