Subramaniam withdraws into himself, his memories of his mother, and his cramped apartment after leaving his job as a law clerk. He gives expelled hostel inmate Bikramjeet Singh a room to rent, with the restriction that no women be allowed to even drop by. After an accidental meeting with Delshad Nanji, proprietor of the eatery "Lucky Cafe," he initially reacts angrily before giving in and starting to frequent the establishment with many other students. Here, Subramanium (Nana Patekar) and Delshad make the coffee (Dimple Kapadia). He prefers homemade coffee and is retired. She owns a café where she serves cappuccinos to students. Amit (Suniel Shetty) and Anita are the soap opera tearjerkers (Vidya Malvade). She sobs over how he has little time for his family while he is busy making money.

When the global corporation "Blue Bell" decides to take over the café, he will soon find himself embroiled in a legal dispute since they plan to prosecute Delshad for trespassing on their land.

Furthermore, the plot is built on the tried-and-true premise that a multinational corporation wants to buy the coffee shop in order to start its own network of coffee shops.

The oldest twosome in the pair is the most entertaining.
