A writer is a person who expresses ideas through written words using a variety of writing skills.

Writers create a variety of literary works and creative writing, including novels, short stories, books, poems, plays, screenplays, teleplays, songs, and essays, in addition to various reports and news items that might be of interest to the general audience.
