 Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is an Indian drama television series in the Hindi language that aired on Star Plus from 18 March 2019 to 17 October 2020. A sequel to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Directed by Ashish Shrivastava, it was produced by Rajan Shahi under the banner of Director's Kut Productions. Rhea Sharma, Shaheer Sheikh, Kaveri Priyam and Avinash Mishra played the key characters. It also features Sanjeev Seth, Sameer Dharamadhikari, Rupal Patel and Chaitrali Gupte, among others, in supporting roles.

The drama, which is set in Rajkot, follows Mishti Agrawal and Abir Rajvansh as they challenge long-held beliefs about arranged weddings and relationships. Mishti is a sweet and straightforward young lady who values individuality and compatibility in relationships. She was raised by the Maheshwari family after being estranged from her parents, Naman and Karishma. Abir is a happy young man who uses poetry and art to communicate his feelings.

The moment Kuhu first sees Kunal, she falls in love. Kuhu is delighted and thrilled when the Maheshwari family receives a marriage proposal from the Rajvansh family for Kunal. Kuhu is devastated when Meenakshi decides to go with Mishti instead owing to a misunderstanding. Mishti requests premarital counselling before agreeing to the marriage; Meenakshi becomes enraged and demands that Mishti assist Abir's NGO in an effort to sour the relationship between Mishti and Kunal. When Kunal finds out that Mishti is working, he is furious, but when he later realises that she is employed by Abir's NGO, he is sorry to Mishti. As Mishti and Abir collaborate, Abir develops feelings for Mishti but is reluctant to admit them. Due to Kunal's actions, Mishti breaks her alliance with him.

Meenakshi tells Kunal to stage a marriage to Kuhu as retaliation for this. Mishti acknowledges her love for Abir and tells him so. Meenakshi, however, discovers Abir and Mishti's emotions for one another and intervenes to stop Mishti. She threatens Mishti, telling her that if she does not humiliate Kuhu and admit that she is an illegitimate child, Kunal would not marry Kuhu. Meenakshi instructs Mishti to leave the house until Kuhu-Kunals' wedding after she complies. As Mishti approaches the airport, Abir stops her just in time, and they both profess their love for one another. Kuhu is devastated when Kunal tells her about his intentions on their first night together after the wedding. Mishti goes back to the Maheshwaris' residence.

Mehul is located and brought back to his family by her. The Maheshwari family learns of Abir and Mishti's romance in the meantime. After the Maheshwaris approve of their relationship, Abir and Mishti's partnership is restored. After marrying Mishti, Abir makes the decision to relocate with Mehul into a separate home. Together with Kunal's biological mother Parul, Mishti learns the truth about Mehul. It is made clear that Mehul just desires Meenakshi's ownership of the Rajvansh property. Mishti reveals Mehul at her engagement, breaking Abir's heart.

Meenakshi blackmails Abir into leaving Mishti or disowning Kunal and Parul in order to break up Abir and Mishti. She also tells Abir that Parul is Kunal's biological mother. Abir is also prompted to select either Kunal or Mishti. Abir breaks his association with Mishti since he can do nothing but pick Kunal above Mishti. He is himself brokenhearted and wishes Mishti would forget him and go on. In the meantime, a broken-hearted Mishti travels to England and lives with Jasmeet's son Nishant. What follows is a series of revelations, twists, heartbreaks and reconciliations which make this show a must-watch for all soap opera lovers.
