Character Analysis

Paresh Rawal plays the role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, a middle-aged guy who is perpetually in debt and constantly seeking out quick money. He is portrayed in the film as a humorous guy who speaks terrible English and is easily duped by the other characters. He also comes out as being rather egotistical and greedy.

 Raju, played by Akshay Kumar, is a young man who is having financial difficulty. He is shown as being an honest, hard-working individual who is constantly attempting to assist others. He is also revealed to be highly impressionable and susceptible to manipulation by the other characters in the film.

 Shyam (Sunil Shetty): Shyam is a sensible and responsible individual who frequently serves as the group's voice of reason. He appears to be Raju's best buddy and works to keep him out of trouble. He is also seen to be attracted to the girl who is assisting the trio, Anuradha.

• Furious fans start a petition to remove Farhad Samji as the film's director Farhad Samji as they feel he wont do justice to the movie. In reply the director commented saying that if there are any changes needed they will rectify them.
