Shraddha Das is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, and Kannada films. She made her acting debut in the 2008 Telugu film Siddu from Sikakulam, and she has worked in six different film industries since.

Career

Shraddha's debut film was the 2008 Telugu film Siddu from Sikakulam. Following Target, she quickly signed four Telugu films in six months: 18, 20 Love Story, Diary, Adhineta, and Sukumar's Arya 2, her first high-profile project.

Shraddha made her Bollywood debut in Sai Om Films' debut film, Lahore, directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan. Shraddha's first film, Lahore, was shot during her final year of college, but due to delays, several other films of hers were released earlier.Shraddha's performance as a Pakistani psychiatrist in the film[8] earned her critical acclaim. The film, which examines India-Pakistan relations, was released in March 2010 and received accolades at the 42nd WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival and the 57th National Film Awards. Her other three releases of the year included A. Karunakaran's Darling, Dil Raju's Maro Charitra, a remake of the 1978 film of the same name, and P. Vasu's Nagavalli, in which she played a lead. Shraddha became known as the "sequel queen" after appearing in the sequels to Arya (Arya 2), Mantra (Diary), and Chandramukhi (Nagavalli).Her second Hindi film, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, was released in 2011. In the next two years, she appeared in one film each, Hosa Prema Purana and Dracula 2012, which marked her Kannada and Malayalam debuts.

After a year, Shraddha made her Bengali debut with The Royal Bengal Tiger (2014). Later that year, she had two Hindi releases, the romantic comedy Lucky Kabootar and the widely publicised Vivek Agnihotri erotic thriller Zid. Although both films received mixed reviews, Shraddha benefited from Zid and received more offers from Bollywood after its release. 
Shraddha has completed three Telugu films: Rey, Bandipotu, and Superstar Kidnap. She plays an American pop singer in Rey, and she has stated that her role in the film "is almost on par with that of the hero" and that "there's a certain amount of eccentricity in my character". She will play a "powerful goon" in Superstar Kidnap, and an item number in Bandipotu. She has also completed filming for the Bollywood film Chai Shai Biscuit, which she signed before the release of Zid.As of early 2015, she is filming two bilingual horror films: Ouija (Telugu and Kannada) and Haunting of Bombay Mills (Telugu and Hindi). She has also been asked to appear in Great Grand Masti. She later appeared in three critically and commercially successful films in Telugu (Guntur Talkies and Garuda Vega), Hindi (Babumoshai Bandookbaaz with Nawazuddin Siddiqui), and Bengali (Badsha The Don). In 2021, she played an Interpol officer in the commercial hit Kannada film Kotigobba 3, which starred Kiccha Sudeep.
