He was awarded the “Best Child Artist” for the film “Muthu” and played challenging characters in path-defining movies of the time like National Award-winning “Thutturi”, “Amma Ninna Tholinalli”, “H20”, “Nanjundi”, “Veera Kannadiga”, and more.

Karthik directed dance dramas, anchored shows, and expanded his talent furthermore with Music Direction.

After attending A.R Rahman’s music school, completing diploma in cinematography and audio engineering, he did some of his most well-known music direction work with serials like “Putta Gowri Maduve”, “Akasha Deepa”, “Dasa Purandara”, and reality shows like “Super Minute”, “Drama Junior”, “Dance Karnataka Dance”, “Dancing Stars”, “Comedy Khiladigalu”, and “Kukku with Kirikku” among others.

In 2016, Karthik Sharma set up his own production house “Kick Media” and record Label “Kick Records”.

Karthik Sharma has thus far collaborated with channels like Colors Kannada, Zee Kannada, Star Suvarna, Udaya TV and won accolades such as "Best TV Music Director in Kannada for Colors TV an unprecedented 3 times in a row".

Karthik Sharma along with a team of talented musicians and teachers, is currently setting up a one-of-a-kind institute of music that aims to redefine learning music by creating and following a methodology that makes learning and practicing music enjoyable, interactive, and fulfilling.
